During class:

During the Luistergoed music session your child will listen, sing, play, move and improvise. Together we playfully become acquainted with the building blocks of music: rhythm, melody, dynamics, timbre, duration, tempo and last but not least ... silence. Everything in an informal and playful environment. Every child can participate, discover and enjoy at his or her own pace!
The music session is inspired by sounds from all over the world. We use instruments such as the tampura and shrutibox from India, the dulcimer and the strumstick from the U.S. and percussion instruments from Africa. We also play with chime bars, deskbells, flutes, scarves, balls and other beautiful materials.
The Luistergoed Program is carefully structured to maximise engagement, focus and enjoyment. Because children learn through repetition, we keep our classes very similar week to week, so they can develop a sense of understanding and safety from the regular structure of class. Variety lies in the numerous improvisation moments.

The baby music class is a warm bath of sound, melody and rhythm. Songs are sung without words, so your child can understand the essence of music without the distraction of verbal language. The atmosphere is nurturing, playful and calm.

In the toddler music class, your child will explore the basic concepts of music (high/low, loud/soft, long/short, fast/slow). Using music instruments, colorful materials, movement and improvisation we stimulate learning and allow the musical fantasy to grow!
